Artcraft is a digitization of a fine letterpress typeface I found at Aardvark Letterpress in Los Angeles. This is a virtually complete font, with a full alphabet set and numbers. It’s a historical font style dating to 1912; it has been called “French Old Style.” The designer of Artcraft was Robert Wiebking, a German emigré. It was originally named “Craftsman,” later renamed “Art-Craft” and finally “Artcraft.” The Roman and Italic versions, which I offer here, were designed and cut in 1912; a bold version was created in 1913.
